When organizing all of your scholarship applications and documents, organize them by due date to help ensure that you get your applications mailed off in time.

Lillian E. Glover Scholarship This is a Illinois PTA scholarship given to two students in each PTA Field Service Area. Student must be majoring in the field of education or education-related degree program. Please check to see if you meet the criteria for this scholarship before making application for this scholarship. Completed application must be postmarked on or before February 15, 2010.
The Illinois Odd Fellow-Rebekah Scholarship This scholarship is offered to graduating seniors who are continuing their education in any post-secondary school or and accredited vocational/technical school. Scholarship is due in the counseling office by February 19, 2010. IL Odd Fellow Scholarship
The Selma J. Hartke Scholarship is for anyone who is pursuing post-secondary education or training. Scholarship is due in the counseling office by February 19, 2010. Illinois Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship This scholarship is available to graduating seniors who are pursuing a degree in engineering. Applicant will complete and mail their own application. Scholarship must be received by February 6, 2010. IL Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship. If you are interested in pursuing an engineering degree at SIUE, consider applying to the PIECES scholarship program.
Best Buy Scholarship Program This scholarship is for any student (9 – 12) who have solid grades and are involved in community service. Visit Best Buy’s website to learn more about this scholarship and to view a list of 2009 scholarship recipients. The 2010 Best Buy Scholarship will be available soon. Wal-Mart Sam Walton Community Scholarship The Wal-Mart Foundation is funding more than 2,500 scholarships of $3,000 each for 2009 in the name of the Sam Walton Community Scholarships. To apply you must be a high school senior maintaining at least a 2.5 GPA, as well as a permanent resident of the United States. Dell Scholar Program. Completing the online application is the first step to becoming a Dell Scholar. This scholarship is available to graduating seniors. Closing date for scholarship is January 15, 2010. Click here for more information about the Dell Scholarship.
AXA Achievement Scholarship Apply by December 15. Have you overcome personal challenges? Have you led a project that benefits others? Are you active in your community? You may qualify for an AXA Achievement Scholarship. Learn more and download an application for the AXA website.
Ecolifestl.com and Neighbors Credit Union $10,000 Scholarship Giveaway Are you a high school senior preparing to enroll in college? Are you passionate about the environment and looking forward to a “green-collar” career, working to improve sustainability and help our community? Would $10,000 towards your tuition assist in your efforts?
KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program The application deadline is February 10, 2010. Student must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher and be attending a public, in-state college or university.
U.S. Bank Internet Scholarship Program U.S. Bank will award forty $1000 scholarship through a random drawing process. Students who will be attending a four year college or university are eligible to apply. Entry deadline is March, 2010.

Golden Apple Scholars Program – The purpose of the Golden Apple Scholars program is to recruit talented high school students who want to be teachers. Scholars agree to teach for five years in an Illinois school of need. In addition to the scholarship loan of $2500.00 per year for four years, scholars attend four residential summer institutes. The total financial assistance package is $18,000. Nomination brochures are available in the guidance office. Beginning in April of student’s junior year and continuing through November of their senior year, any Illinois student who is interested in a teaching career is eligible for the Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois Program. ILLINOIS RETIRED TEACHERS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP The Illinois Retired Teachers Assocation is offering six $1500 scholarships, one in each of the six IRTA areas, to residents of Illinois. Anyone who is or will be a junior or senior in college and has been accepted into a Teacher Certification Program may apply. Attendance at an Illinois college or university is not a requirement, but the applicant must be a resident of Illinois. For full details and applications, please visit the IRTA website.
